ORIGIN Screening - Burns Film Center

To kick-off the Days of ORIGIN main week of events, 91Ƶ DEI and the Jacob Burns Film Center are partnering to screen the film, Origin, which is inspired by Isabel Wilkerson’s New York Times best-selling book, “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents”. Writer and Director Ava DuVernay’s film adaptation of the book follows a fictionalized version of Isabel Wilkerson (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) as she investigates the global phenomenon of caste and its dark influence on society, facing unfathomable loss and uncovering the beauty of love and human resilience along the way.
