About The Summer Short-Term Program
Six Lubin graduate students (Aditi Bhardwaj, Federico Finelli, Michelle Remarais, Chelsea Selamy, Arjun Sivamohan, and Akshata Swami) representing the fields of marketing, finance, management, accounting, and business analytics, participated in a one-week program at 91视频's partner school Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Shillong, India. The theme of the week was "Sustainability Practices in Business and Sensitization for the Young Managers," and included 10 courses led by international faculty, as well as evening activities, a cultural excursion, and field trip.
Scholarships
Two Lubin graduate students were awarded scholarships in the amount of $2,000, made possible by a generous donation from the Figueroa Family Fund.
Students Speak
Knowing that India was the travel destination, I felt it was necessary to understand business from the perspective of a developing country. I was very impressed with the credentials the professors had, the students were passionate, and the treatment from the faculty and students made me feel as if I was family.
Chelsea Selamy '23
In a world filled with opportunities, it's vital to take charge and go after something you want. To me, the best way to learn in life is to travel to other countries and immerse yourself into the culture. Knowing that India was the travel destination, I felt it was necessary to understand business from the perspective of a developing country. I was very impressed with the credentials the professors had, the students were passionate, and the treatment from the faculty and students made me feel as if I was family. I left India feeling grateful for what I have, discovering what I'm passionate about, and surrounding myself with those that aspire to make a change in this world. These three things mentioned will keep me grounded and bring joy for eternity. This trip will always hold a special place in my heart, and I'm honored to represent the Lubin School of Business.
