Faculty Bio

Derek Stroup is an artist based New York with exhibitions in museums and galleries in the United States and Europe. He has a BA from Williams College and an MFA from the University of California, San Diego.

Research and Creative Works

Research Interest

Trained as a sculptor, my recent large-scale photographic prints on canvas bring a sculptural sense of size and material to photography. My photographs originate in the weedy margins of New York City where I document ecosystems that thrive in flux.
