Research and Creative Works

Research Interest

Dr. Mosley’s research interests include utilizing robotics to teach problem-solving, computing, and cyber-security concepts, on land and in water, as a pedagogical tool. A strong believer in K12 STEM education, she has designed curricula to engage, inspire, and captivate students to learn STEM. She has explored gender methodologies and best design-thinking practices that motivate and facilitate STEM learning and self-efficacy in and out of the classroom and establishing STEM-bridges with afterschool programs. Dr. Mosley has worked with the White Plains GIRLS Academy and the White Plains YMCA GEMS Afterschool Program for the past six years in shaping and cultivating their STEM curriculum component. She has exposed these girls to LEGO Mindstorms, drones, and SeaPerch (water robotics). Recently, Dr. Mosley has launched an innovative STEM-4 Homework Help Afterschool Program which focuses on self-efficacy, study skills, stamina, and STEM-enrichment at the Slater Center located in White Plains. She has mentored several New Rochelle High School students who have desired to do a WISE Project in lieu of graduation and has worked closely with K-12 Westchester schools in helping their STEM faculty integrate innovative STEM curricula within their respective disciplines.
