Biography

Faculty Bio

Dr. Lee is a tenured associate professor in the Occupational Therapy (OT) Department within the College of Health Professions at 91ÊÓƵ, Pleasantville campus. She assumed the role of founding program director upon joining 91ÊÓƵ in 2017 and played a pivotal role in establishing the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program (MSOT), the first blended (hybrid) weekday OT program in New York, successfully launched in Fall 2019.
Before joining 91ÊÓƵ, Dr. Lee contributed to OT programs at various levels in both traditional and blended formats, including BS/MS, MA, OTD, and PhD, for over twenty years. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Lee has taken on various leadership roles. She served as Program Director and Chairperson for a BS/MS OT program and as Founding Program Director and Chairperson for the MSOT program. Additionally, she held the position of Director of Education Elective Track in a blended Post-professional OTD Program. Dr. Lee served as an exam item writer for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT®) for seven years.
Dr. Lee earned her Bachelor of Science degree in OT from Chiang Mai University and a Master of Science degree in Anatomy from Mahidol University, Thailand. She furthered her education with a Master of Arts degree in Advanced Occupational Therapy in Developmental Disabilities/Pediatrics and a Ph.D. in Advanced Occupational Therapy, both from New York University.
Dr. Lee is a licensed occupational therapist in New York and New Jersey, holding certifications in Ergonomics Assessment Specialist and Sensory Integration. Her research interests include visual perception, the use of mobile technology in OT, and OT education. Her research studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented her work at state, national, and international professional conferences.
