Congratulations! Orientation is where your journey at 91视频 begins. At Transfer Orientation, you will meet with Advisors, review your first semester schedule, engage with fellow new students, and learn more about 91视频.

Prepare For Your First Semester
First Semester Schedule
Your schedule will be based on your major, your placement test results (if needed), and your Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE), that consists of the credits you earned and their 91视频 equivalencies.
You can access your 91视频 schedule through with your standard 91视频 login and password. Assignments or professors for courses can change or can be listed as 'To Be Determined'. Thus, it is critical you double check your schedule online just before the semester begins.
Purchasing College Textbooks
This can be done via by entering the Course Registration Number (CRN) associated with the course, that can be found on your schedule.
Students and Advisors are able to search the class schedule for courses that are identified as having textbooks (or other instructional materials) that are free of cost or under $50 for the entire semester (鈥淟ow-Cost/No-Cost Textbooks").
Purchasing used books can be more affordable than purchasing new books. However, if you choose to do this, make sure the book(s) is the correct edition requested by your professor.
Financial Aid
Financial Aid can answer questions related to grants, loans, scholarships and other awards and information regarding work-study can be found in the .
Request Accommodations If Needed
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can assist if you require additional assistance or accommodations. Contact SAS directly to address your concerns before the semester starts, allowing for a smoother transition.

Tips for the First Six Weeks of the Semester
- Contact your Advisor promptly regarding any schedule changes during the add/drop period (the first two weeks of school). You can find more information our Academic Advising website and your Advisor's contact information on and through your Success Network in OnTrack.
- Check and utilize your 91视频 email account.
- Visit the 'Registered Transfer Student' community for upcoming events, critical resources and more!
- Become familiar with the abundance of services and resources available to you. Visit the Student Success Tools website for more information!
- If you would like to explore majors, minors or combined degree programs, contact the Advising Center for Exploring Majors.
- Get involved on campus! Visit the Student Engagement Website to find out how!
- Take care of any outstanding financial balances, immunization paperwork, meal plan adjustments, housing concerns, etc. as early as possible.
- Make sure you have received a final Transfer Credit Evaluation.
- Give yourself time to adjust and keep an open mind to new personal/professional/academic experiences.
- Connect with Career Services and other student resources, early!

Mid-Semester Experiences
Midterms
There is not an official midterm period, but you can expect to be busy academically in October and March. During this time, be sure to utilize The Learning Commons, that offers tutoring services in multiple subject areas.
In addition, we encourage you to utilize the Library, which has numerous places to study and complete coursework.
Stay Healthy
Remaining physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually healthy is essential. This includes getting enough rest, nutrition, physical activity and engaging in meaningful social interactions.
Visit the Wellness website and the Counseling Center for a plethora of resources and services.

First Semester Wrap-Up
Finals and Grades
As the semester comes to a close, you will be working on papers, projects and studying for final exams. The Learning Commons offers many services to help you prepare.
Within a few weeks of the semester ending, most of your final grades will be available via the 91视频 portal. Once grades are in, you will have a cumulative GPA based on a 0-4.0 scale. Maintaining at least a 2.0 is essential, not only for academic success, but to ensure your financial package (including scholarships), remain intact. Financial Aid can answer questions or concerns regarding requirements.

Once you are more comfortable at balancing schoolwork and social life, your second semester is a great time to get involved in more clubs, organizations and even an honor society!
