MPA Student Association

The MPA Student Association (MPASA) aims to enhance the academic, professional, and social experiences of MPA students by organizing events and activities that promote knowledge, career development, and networking. MPASA offers career-related resources and events for students, graduates, and professionals in the NYC and Westchester areas, helping them build competitive strengths in public administration.

MPASA serves as a network for MPA students, faculty, alumni, and professionals, fostering long-term connections through social, community service, and professional events. It actively collaborates with 91ÊÓƵ alumni and other organizations to promote civic engagement and character development, encouraging discourse with public affairs professionals, including members of the .

Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society

, dedicated to recognizing and encouraging excellence in scholarship and achievement in the field. Each spring, the 91ÊÓƵ chapter holds an induction ceremony to honor MPA students with the highest academic achievements.

Membership is open to students, faculty, alumni, public officials, and scholars who have made significant contributions to the field. To qualify, MPA students must:

  • Complete at least 50% of required coursework (minimum 18 semester hours)
  • Hold a minimum GPA of 3.7
  • Complete an application form and pay a one-time fee.

Membership benefits include:

  • Eligibility for federal pay grade increase
  • Lifetime membership with Certificate of Affiliation and Graduation Regalia
  • Access to research, conference, and travel funding
  • Exclusive networking events and community service opportunities
  • Scholarships and awards through NASPAA
  • Leadership development in public affairs.
