New York City - November

Rachel Schwartz, Seidenberg School of CSIS, New York

Recognized by Erin Mysogland, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, New York:

Thank you to all of the faculty that invited CCAR into their courses this semester for voter education presentations. Speaking with students in the classroom is one of the most impactful voter outreach strategies we have every year. Through class presentations we reached hundreds of students many of whom then came to the CCAR office or events to follow up on their voting process. Thank you for supporting our students in making their voices heard this election!

Westchester - November

Peter Cronin, Information Technology Services, Westchester

Recognized by Tabitha DeCaprio, Finance and Administration:

I am pleased to nominate Pete for his outstanding contribution helping me transition from SAS to Pyramid. Pete continues to go above and beyond in providing support and ways to streamline the current SAS modeling into Pyramid. He has taken the time out of his busy schedule and project list to make time each month to ensure that the transition is correct.

August 2024

Latoya Flournoy, Office of Student Assistance, New York

Recognized by McKenna Crenshaw, Student: I was struggling to get my parent loan to come through and was close to getting dropped from classes. Ms. Flournoy went above and beyond for me and was able to contact financial aid and get my MPN matched and linked so my loan could come through.

Recognized by Frances Quintana, Parent: Latoya was an ANGEL today. After trying to connect with a "human" the past two days due to the high volume of callas I was lucky to have her on the other side of the call. I was in high anxiety and she was patient, knowledgeable and provided me all the status of my daughter's account. She gave me her email so I could send her the info needed of the loan. She was so proactive! and called me before I sent her the info and shared an update about the account. No more anxiety! all fixed!

Mariajosé Romero, Dean’s Office, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, New York

Recognized by Emily Welty, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, New York City: I just wanted to take a moment to recognize Mariajosé Romero for the exceptional patience and care she takes with faculty. I know that she is often tasked with making sense of quantitative data for faculty without significant quantitative backgrounds and she does so with candor humor and patience. In a recent meeting, she helped me understand a series of metrics in a way that made sense to me without belittling or humiliating me. She is a true collaborative problem solver who builds trust.
